Unique Technology
SecureCard uses KeyID’s patent pending technology that combines authentication with elements of the client and server’s
unique communication channel to ensure only authorized parties can view the data. By confirming the end points of the
communication channel and the private key held on the smartcard, SecureCard prevents Phishing, Pharming, Man in the Middle
(MITM), and Man in the Browser (MITB) attacks.
At the smartcard reader, the private key that is stored on the smartcard is encrypted with other unique elements of the
communication channel, such as the Client IP address, and the data that is to be transferred. The data is sent to the server,
which calls on the KeyID device to verify the keys and the unique endpoints of the channel. Only the authorized client and
server can be in the channel, or the KeyID device will reject the packet.
